I’m Darrin — a Los Angeles-based product designer and UX strategist with a BSDES from DAAP that is passionate about creating seamless experiences that delight users and bring results. I strive to bring inclusive and socially-responsible design principles into all that I do while fostering the personal and professional growth of both myself and my team.
People are always the priority. I seek a deeper understanding of a product’s intent and its user’s needs to strategize the bigger picture and develop full product experiences — feature definition, user stories, wireframes, mock-ups, final UI designs — that delight the end user while aligning with business rules and KPIs.
A pretty face will only get you so far. I create seamless interfaces and flexible design systems from adaptable components that are efficient for development and allow a product to scale. My strong attention to detail keeps elements consistent and familiar, guiding the user and preventing unexpected outcomes.
A chain is only as strong as the weakest link. I work closely and build relationships with my design, development, and management team members to establish a clear understanding of project goals, timeline, and contingencies, communicating with the client to set expectations and delegating tasks to assure deadlines are met.
